I ran down the stairs to the ground level, but when I got there I stopped for a second, I caught my breath; I needed to look normal to get past the security guard without looking suspicious, or like there was any reason to monitor me on my way out.
Just walk. Say hello. Walk, when you get off the property, start to walk faster. You run funny.
I ignored Jade, and walked through the door and looked at the lobby. The guards desk was empty. All that worrying for nothing. Oh well, Ill count my blessings later. I walked toward the door that would bring me to the cold night air.
I walked outside, into the darkness of night. The brisk

Well, Im glad that was finally over, I thought to myself as I walked through the doors outside. I knew I was already going to be home a few minutes late. Im surprised Harold or my mother havent called or texted me yet. In time. Probably when I arrive at the door to the condominium. I looked around.
The parking lot was empty except a few cars belonging to teachers who had much marking to do, or ones who just didnt want to go home. I walked through the parking lot, past a badly dented red car. I didnt know how people could tell the cars make and model just by looking at it. They spend too much time looking

"So how are you getting home?" I asked Jacob as I opened my locker. I was lucky that I had something to do so I wasn't just staring at him. I was taking books out of my bag as his voice graced my ears yet again.
"My mom is picking me up, I don't quite know my way home yet. I have a general idea of the route since I was watching when my mom dropped me off this morning, but she was giving me the 'you'll make new friends, if you have problems with someone then tell a teacher' speech." I smiled as I closed my locker.
"Do you want me to drop you at the parking lot and wait for you?" I knew he was going to say he didn't want to be a burden or so

But, someone new came, who maybe could one day replace Jamie, but of course, Jamie wanted him. Jamie would get him. Jamie always got the guys he wanted. He could have all of San Francisco at his feetor other body partsif he wanted.
Oi, Josh. He yelled as he quickly walked up to us. Why hadnt I have taken the short cut?
So you could spend more time with Jacob. Duh.

I wondered if I could escape this class like I escaped French. I dont think I could. Good reputation or not, teachers would probably question me if they saw me in the hallways for two periods in a row. I quickly gave up hope on that plan.
Mr Kos started to write something about a test later on in the month. I couldnt care less anymore; I was going to fail the course no matter what by now. I put my head in my arms on my desk. I wondered if I could just fall asleep here, I wonder if anyone would wake me up. Ha. Of course. I couldnt fall asleep anyway without the aid of sleeping pills.

Josh! Get your lazy ass out of your room! Youre going to be late . . . again! My mom screeched from the living room. I was barely ever late, so I had no idea what she was talking about, but all I knew was that I had school today. School was my only time outside the walls of my condo. At least Id get to see my friends, as long as they werent absent, or skipped any of their classes. I never skipped my classes.
Yeah, yeah, Im coming out. That secretly amused me. I grabbed my violin and my bag that had my bag packed since Friday, since I had finished all of my homework in class; there was never any

That night, I slept a lot. More than usual anyway. I was on the phone with Nicole before for about an hour talking about school, people in school, and music. Nicole was the only person who I could ever talk to on the phone without making up some lame excuse to get off the phone. I hated talking on the phone. I dont really know why, and that annoyed people when I told them, I just didnt like talking on the phone.
After we got off the phone, I played guitar for a bit longer, except this time, I was playing pieces from school orchestras. I played violin too, but that was only for school. Its not that I didnt enjoy it, bu

Jewl - Chapter 1
It was a normal Sunday. I was in my room playing my acoustic guitar. I love my guitar. It might be covered in finger prints, but those finger prints on the shiny black finish are just signs that I love to play my guitar. That I love to hold it. That I love to touch it. The dove design was always something that could make me smile. Sometimes, I just liked to look at it. Not today though. Today, I just wanted to play. It was a pretty depressing day. Mom was miserable as usual, and Harold, my step-father, was drinking as usual.
So to prevent another fight with Harold, and give my mom a reason to be even more irritated, I locked myself in my roo
